Dr. Jonathan Rogers, Professor of Creative Writing

Dr. Jonathan Rogers holds a Ph.D. in seventeenth-century literature from Vanderbilt University. His undergraduate degree is from Furman University. He is the author of several books, including the Wilderking Trilogy, The Charlatan’s Boy, and The Terrible Speed of Mercy – A Spiritual Biography of Flannery O’Connor.

Dr. Rogers has recently released audiobook versions of his acclaimed Wilderking Trilogy, narrated by the author. Ralph Wood recently called Dr. Rogers’s book The Terrible Speed of Mercy the best biography of Flannery O’Connor. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, he teaches Moral Philosophy, Composition, Creative Writing, and preceptorials on Flannery O’Connor and John Milton’s Paradise Lost.
